  • Bhishma Pitamah was on the bed of the arrows, Bhishma had shed tears in front of the Pandavas, this had lifted the burden of his mind.

story- In the Mahabharata, there was a war between the Kauravas and the Pandavas. On the tenth day of the war, Arjun shot Bhishma Pitamah so much that his entire body was shattered. The bed of arrows was made for Bhishma.

Bhishma was blessed with the wish of death. Because of this, he did not die at that time. Bhishma had decided that whenever this war ends, then after the sun will be Uttarayan, then I will give up my life.

A separate camp was set up at the same place for Bhishma. People of Kaurava and Pandava parties also used to visit him daily. The Pandavas were victorious in the war. After this, when he arrived to meet Bhishma Pitamah, he saw that tears are flowing from the grandfather’s eyes.

The Pandavas asked Bhishma, ‘Why do you have tears in your eyes?’

Bhishma said, ‘You have won, but your brothers have been killed at your hands. My lineage ended before me. Because of this, my heart is heavy. I think that the life of those Pandavas whose chariot is in the hands of Lord Krishna himself, those Pandavas who were fully patronized by Krishna, have suffered so much. So I am shedding tears thinking that sorrows come in everyone’s life. We must face them firmly. I am shedding tears right now, my mind is also getting lighter. ‘

Learning How long will we spend our life with a heavy heart? Whenever there is a burden on the mind and cry comes, we should cry. By shedding tears, the mind becomes light and the burden is removed.
