story – The story of Yajnavalkya and Bharadwaja Rishi is told in the Ramakatha. Bharadwaj Rishi had his ashram at Triveni Sangam in Prayag. There was a fair of saints and saints. The saints came from far and wide.

When the fair was over, all the saints were returning to their respective ashrams. At that time Bharadwajaji stopped the sage Yagnavalkya. Bhardwajji requested him that I want to hear the Ramakatha from you.

Yagnavalkya said, ‘I will tell you the story, but I know why you want to listen to me. You yourself know the complete story of Ramakat well. You are a very good speaker yourself, but you want to listen to Ram Katha from my mouth so that the whole society can hear Ram Katha once again. The Ram Katha that comes from me and your conversation will reach people with a new perspective.

Hearing these things, Bhardwajji said, ‘Thank you for these things. The learned person is the one who lets his and others ‘scholars work for the society, do not let him be polluted by his ego.’

Learning The message of this story is that Bharadwaj Rishi knew the story of Rama, but he called the story of Yajnavalkya Rishi so that the society could hear the story once again and people could understand the story from a new perspective. We should also use scholars in this way. We have our intelligence and ability, but also respect the qualifications of others. Inspire scholars to spread their knowledge to others, so that society can get an opportunity to learn new things.
