story – The famous saint Eknathji of Maharashtra was born in the original Nakshatra and his father died after birth. Because of this people considered them inauspicious. Eknathji had a deep understanding of death. He had done a lot of work to overcome social evils, he was a disciple of Saint Bhanudas and was a householder.
One day a devotee of Eknathji asked him, ‘How do you remain happy even after so many troubles? If you have a mantra to be happy, give it to us as well.
Eknathji said, ‘That mantra, that sutra is in its place, but I want to tell you one thing right now, you are going to die seven days from today.’
On hearing this, that devotee got nervous. On reaching home, he told his wife the whole thing. The devotee thought that what will happen now will happen. After this he changed his behavior completely. He started talking to everyone with love, helping everyone.
People of the family and society were very surprised by the change in behavior of that person. Seven days passed very well. On the seventh day he took a bath, put on good clothes and lay down in the courtyard. He looked forward to his death.
At the same time, Eknathji reached there. He asked his devotee, ‘How did your seven days go?’
The devotee said, ‘My seven days are very well spent. No quarrel with anyone, having a lot of love with everyone.
Eknathji asked, ‘How did this become possible?’
The devotee said, ‘You said that you have to go after seven days. I thought when I want to go, then what should I fight with someone? ‘
Eknathji said, ‘I gave you seven days’ time, but if you believe that you have to go, only to go after the next 50-60-70 years, then what is the fight of the world. Live happily ever after. Live with the joy that is within you. ‘
Learning – Death is irrevocable. Everyone has to die one day. Those who understand this, get away from all evils and live in love with all.
