Kharmas begin as soon as the Sun enters Sagittarius. It is also called Dhanu Sankranti. According to the mythological beliefs of Hinduism, no manglic-auspicious work should be done in Kharmas. Pandit Ganesh Mishra, the astrologer of Kashi, says that on December 16 this year, the sun is entering Sagittarius at 6:49 am. Therefore, Dharm Sankranti from December 16 to January 14, 2021 will cause Kharmas dosha.

Worship Lord Vishnu
The deity of Kharmas is Lord Vishnu, hence worship of Lord Vishnu should be done regularly during this month. Also, Vishnu and Shaligram should be anointed with Panchamrit. God should be decorated with decoration and they should offer special dishes. Kirtan should be performed with the name of God and chanting this mantra ‘Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay’ daily. Dan bath and sun arghde should be done in pilgrimage. Tulsi worship is also considered more important in this month. In early morning, one should worship Tulsi with lamps and water and chant the mantra of Lord Vishnu with a garland of Tulsi.

Will end on Makar Sankranti
Sun will enter Capricorn after one month. Makar Sankranti festival is celebrated on this special day. Makar Sankranti is the midnight of the gods. On this day, donations are made by bathing in the holy rivers. Uttarayan starts from this day. All auspicious works including marriage begin from this day.

What to do in Kharmas
Before sunrise, take bath, evening and remember God. Suryadev should be worshiped in Kharmas. It is considered to be the month of Mahadharma, charity, chanting, penance. It has benefits with many qualities. Doing the doer results in manifold results. Brahmins, gurus, cows and sages should be served in Kharmas.

Importance of donation
In Kharmas month one should wake up in the morning and take bath. After this one should worship Suryadev. It is also believed that by donating and performing charity in Kharmas one attains virtue, therefore, this month should provide food to the needy.

Necessary things can also be distributed to the needy as per their requirement. In the month of Aghaan, along with food, clothes can also be donated. Lord K गौष्ण गौa’s blessings are obtained by performing cow worship and cow culture in Kharmas. Happiness and prosperity come at home. Any kind of work gets success in future.
