According to the Hindu calendar, the Amavasya that falls in the month of Shravan is called Shravani Amavasya, since this month begins the month of Savan, it is also called Hariyali Amavasya. Like every Amavasya, Shravani Amavasya also has the importance of doing pinddaan and charity for the peace of the fathers. Shravan Amavasya fast and religious deeds
The corner of the earth blossoms green due to the arrival of rain in the month of Savan. Since trees and plants get new life on Shravan Amavasya and due to these, human life is protected, so from the natural point of view, green Amavasya also has great importance. Religious deeds performed on this day are as follows-

: On this day, take a bath in a river, reservoir or pool, and after offering arghya to the sun god, offer it for the ancestors.
: Fast for the peace of the souls of the ancestors and give alms to any poor person.
: On this day the Peepal tree is worshiped and its trips are made.
: Planting of Peepal, Banyan, Banana, Lemon, Tulsi etc. on green Amavasya is considered auspicious. Because these trees are considered to be the abode of the gods.
: Uttara Phalguni, Uttarashada, Uttara Bhadrapada, Rohini, Mrigashira, Revathi, Chitra, Anuradha, Mool, Visakha, Pushya, Shravan, Ashwini, Hasta etc. Nakshatras are considered to be the best and auspicious for plantation.

: Go to a river or pond and feed the fish with flour tablets. Feed sugar or dry flour to the ants near your house.
: Savan Hariyali On the new moon day, go to Hanuman temple and recite Hanuman Chalisa. Also offer vermilion and jasmine oil to Hanumanji.

Shravan Amavasya is very popular due to its religious and natural importance. Actually, on this day it is known as Hariyali Amavasya to express its gratitude towards trees. From the religious point of view, on this day pinddaan and other charity-related works are done for the ancestors.
