  • On this date, Lord Vishnu gave the knowledge of Srimad Bhagwat Geeta to Arjuna, hence Gita Jayanti is celebrated on this day.

Ekadashi of Shuklapaksha of Margashirsha month, Mokshada (Mokshadayini) Ekadashi will be celebrated on 25 December. This year is also the last Ekadashi of 2020. Ekadashi Tithi will start from 11.17 on the night of December 24 and last all day on December 25. After this, there will be 1.54 minutes in the midnight. Ekadashi fasting will be on Friday only. It is believed that worshiping on this day is done by worshiping Lord Vishnu. According to religious beliefs, this fast is kept for salvation. Along with the fasting person, his ancestors also get it.

Worship with Tulsi and Ganga water
Pandit Ganesh Mishra, the astrologer of Kashi and the author of the scriptures, said that Lord Vishnu should be worshiped on this day with Tulsi, Ganges water, Akshat, Pushp, Roli-Chandan and Dhoop-Deep. Also, reciting the Purushasukta, Srimad Bhagwat Gita and Vishnusahsranama also ends all kinds of problems.
Pt. Mishra tells that on this day the fasting person should wake up early in the morning and take a bath. Then clean the place of worship. After this, after sanctifying the house or temple with Ganga water, God should also be given a bath with Ganga water. Offer sandalwood, Akshat and other worship materials to the Lord on this day. Tulsi leaves must be offered to Lord Vishnu.

Lord Vishnu gave the message of Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta on this day
Geeta Jayanti will also be celebrated on this day. It is believed that Shri Krishna preached the Gita to Arjuna on the day of Mokshada Ekadashi. In Dwaparyuga, Sri Krishna preached the Gita to Arjuna at the beginning of the war of Mahabharata. It is believed that Lord Krishna has expressed his parabrahm form in the Gita. By reciting it one attains the virtue of seeing Lord Vishnu. Also, Gita is a universal practice of personality development. In this, a socio-practical practical philosophy of yoga is found in the form of knowledge, action and devotion.
