In the Ekadashi Mahatmya chapter of Skanda Purana, the importance of all the Ekadashi of the year has been told. This fast is observed for Lord Vishnu. With this date on Saturday, Shani Dev should also be worshiped on this day. Recite the mantra: Shani mantra Om Shan Shanashrayaraya.

According to Pt. Manish Sharma, Jyotishacharya of Ujjain, by observing this Ekadashi fast, the devotee gets success in all things by the grace of God. On this day, anoint the Vishnu and Mahalakshmi with the conch shell clockwise. Fill saffron mixed milk in the conch and bathe the deity. Keep chanting the chants of ‘Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya’. After bathing the deity, offer yellow silk cloth. Apply Tilak. Offer flowers Offer seasonal fruits. Offer enjoyment Keep in mind that you should keep basil leaves while offering Vishnu.

Light incense and perform aarti. Apologize to God for the unknown blunder in worship. After the puja, distribute the prasadam to other devotees and accept it yourself.

Those who fast on this date should sacrifice food. Milk and seasonal fruits can be consumed. Fast all day. Offer prayers in the evening. Wake up early in the morning on the next day ie Dwadashi. Do puja after bathing etc. and take food after doing charity. This is a simple method of fasting. In this way the fast is fulfilled.

Offer oil to Shani Dev

Offer black sesame and mustard oil to Shani Dev during Ekadashi and Saturday yoga. Chant the mantra of Shani at least 108 times. Never insult a poor and needy person to avoid Shani’s defects. Respect the parents. Keep peace at home

Offer water to Shivling

On this day, along with Vishnuji and Shani Dev, Shiva worship should also be done. Offer water with a copper lotus on the Shivling and chant the chanting mantra: Shiva. Offer Bilva Patra and flowers to God. Apply sandalwood tilak and perform aarti by lighting a lamp.
