Sunday, March 28 is the full moon of the month of Phalgun. It is also called Vasant Purnima. In Shrimad Bhagwat, Lord Krishna has said that I am the spring in the seasons. Therefore, there is a tradition of doing special worship of Lord Krishna on this full moon day. A fast is also observed on this day. According to the Vishnudharmottara Purana, by fasting on the full moon of the month of Phalgun, sins are eliminated and age also increases.
Tradition of fasting: Avoiding the blame of change of seasons
Mental and physical changes also occur when the seasons change. Due to which Tridosha increases in the body, that is, imbalance of Vata, Pitta and Kapha increases the risk of diseases. To avoid this, a custom has been made to fast on the last day of the Hindu calendar i.e. Poornima. Fasting on this day keeps the balance of hormones and other things in the body. Due to this, the strength and age of fighting diseases increases.
Tradition of shri Krishna worship
On the last day of Phalgun month, the moon rises in the sky with its saulah arts. On this day, the tradition of worship of Yograj Shri Krishna has been made. The moon has a special effect on the things used in Sri Krishna worship, such as milk, water, panchamrut and butter. Moon is a factor of mind. For this reason, by doing special worship of Lord Krishna with these things, one gets mental peace. In the Srimad Bhagwat, it is said that the worship of Lord Krishna eliminates all kinds of sins, unknowingly or unknowingly. Due to which the human being lives a long life while still being sick.
Shri Krishna worship method
Get up before sunrise and take a few drops of Ganga water in the water and take a bath. After this, vow to keep Sri Krishna Puja and fast for the day. Then go to the house or temple and offer water to the idol of God with pure water. Then fresh milk should be anointed with panchamrit after it. While doing this, one should chant the Kंं कृa Krishnāya Namā: Mantra.
Offer Lord Chandan, Akshat, Mauli, Abir, Gulal, Perfume, Tulsi and Janeu as well as all the pooja material to Lord Krishna after the Abhishek. After this, wear yellow cloth and add sugar candy to the butter and offer it to the Lord. Then perform Aarti and donate to needy people according to reverence.
