Out of the Char Dham of the country, a donor has presented 4 kg 858 grams of gold-silver jewelery on Vasant Panchami at Jagannath Puri temple. These include 3 kg of 876 grams of silver and the rest of gold jewelery.

These ornaments include Shrimukh Kamal and Jhoba for Lord Balabhadra, Goddess Subhadra and Lord Jagannath. Two golden glasses and two jhoba garlands have also been made for mother Subhadra. On Vasant Panchami, the donor has handed over these jewelery to Krishna Kumar, the administrator at the temple office.

Darshan system has also started in the temple for common visitors. Devotees can easily visit the temple with masks and social distancing. The preparations for the next rath yatra have started from Vasant Panchami itself. Last year, the Corona epidemic caused many problems in taking out the rath yatra.

Lord Jagannath’s Rath Yatra will be taken out on 12 July. For this, on the Vasant Panchami, a wood-friendly ritual has been performed today. 3 chariots will be prepared for the journey. Three 12-foot sticks brought from Nayagada were ritualized by the temple’s Rajguru. This worship purifies the wood. According to Rathsanhita, 865 pieces of wood are required for the construction of 3 chariots. Now the construction work of the chariots will start on Akshaya Tritiya.
