  • Sugriva and Jamwant told Shri Ram not to believe Vibhishan, it should be taken captive

story- In the Ramayana, Vibhishana explained to Ravana that Sita should be returned to a successful Sri Ram. We will be at a disadvantage in fighting Sriram. Ravana became angry on hearing these things and kicked Vibhishan and drove him out of Lanka.

Vibhishan came to meet Sri Ram. Shri Ram used to do everything with advice from everyone. He asked Sugriva what to do?

Sugriva was the king of the monkey army and was also a friend of Shriram. He said, “We should not trust the enemy’s brother, he should be taken captive.” After this, Jamwant and Angad also said, ‘The enemy’s brother is also an enemy.’ Shriram said that this is right.

At that time Hanumanji stood silent. Shriram listened to the advice of everyone and then said about his thinking, ‘My pledge is that whoever comes to my shelter, I definitely protect him. If there is any deception in future due to Vibhishan, then I have powerful companions like Lakshmana and Hanuman. I myself am also able to face every adversity. We will solve that problem together. ‘

Shriram gave shelter to Vibhishana and also declared him the king of Lanka. All were surprised to see that Rama trusted his enemy’s brother so much.

Learning– Shriram has learned that we have to trust others. But, we should also keep the preparation, so that the troubles coming in future can be overcome. Shriram believed in Vibhishana, but in the event of betrayal, he trusted the strength of Lakshmana and Hanuman and himself. If we doubt everyone, we will not be able to do any work, so we should trust others with our preparation.
