story – Manu and Shatrupa are considered to be the first parents of humans. People continued to be born ahead of their children. Manu-Shatarupa thought one day that we should do penance.

Thinking of penance, both of them went to the forest and they did severe penance. God became pleased with his tenacity and he appeared as Vishnu. God said to Manu-Shatarupa, ‘Speak, what do you want to ask me?’

Manu did not say anything, but the mother woke up in Shatarupa’s mind. Shatarupa said, ‘We want a son like you.’

Vishnuji said with a smile, ‘There is no one in this world like me. I am just like me I will come as your son in some other birth of yours. Saying this, God disappeared.

After this, Manu-Shatarupa was born as King Dasharatha and Kaushalya. In that birth Lord Vishnu came to Dasharatha-Kaushalya as a son in the form of Shri Ram.

Learning – If we ever ask for something from God, we should not ask for wealth and wealth from them. We can earn this through our own hard work. We should ask God for them only. The message is that if a competent person is found, then he should ask for something which is wonderful to him. Knowledge from the Guru, blessings from parents, wealth from the rich, belonging to relatives, love from friends and love from life partner should be sought full time. If we do not have the understanding to ask, then we will keep asking for the right thing from the right person and the right thing from the wrong person.
