The 11th month of Hindu Panchang i.e. Magh month has started from 29 January, Friday. Which will be till 27 February, Saturday. The importance of worshiping Lord Krishna and bathing in the river in this month has been told. Religious texts experts say that bathing in the month of Magha with the name of Ganga gives the fruits of bathing the Ganges. Bathing in Prayag, Kashi, Naimisharanya, Kurukshetra, Haridwar or other holy shrines and rivers is of great importance in this month.

Importance of Shri Krishna Pooja
According to religious texts, if Lord Krishna is worshiped in this month, the wishes are fulfilled. In the month of Magh, before the worship of Shri Krishna, one should take puja by taking sesame, water, flowers and kush in the morning. Then pray and worship Shri Krishna. Then offer purity dishes made at home. Add basil leaves in it. It is believed that worshiping Lord Shri Krishna throughout the month eliminates all kinds of problems and brings happiness and prosperity at home.

This is how virtues meet
There is a religious belief that before the sunrise in the month of Magh, one should worship after bathing in the Ganges and offer arghya to Suryadev. If it is not possible to go for a bath in the Ganges, you can also add a few drops of Ganga water to the bath water at home. After this, after doing puja, donations should be made to sages and saints. By doing this, you get freedom from inadvertent sins. This opens the door to our destiny.

Why do Ganga bath
There is a mythological belief that during the month of Magha, some portion of Lord Vishnu lives in Ganga water. By the way, bathing the Ganges on any day and date throughout the year is considered auspicious. But in the month of Magh, when the portion of Lord Vishnu is in this holy water, the importance of bathing increases further.

Importance of the month of Magh
In the Padma, Skanda and Brahmavaivarta Purana it has been said that in the month of Magh, when the sun is in Capricorn, one should wake up early in the morning and bathe in the holy river. The importance of this Hindi month is also mentioned in the Mahabharata and other texts. In the discipline festival of Mahabharata, it is said that one who eats food once a month in the month of Magha, he gets importance in his family members by taking birth in a wealthy family. In this chapter, it is said that by worshiping Lord Madhava by fasting day and night on the Dwadashi date of the month of Magha, the worshiper gets the fruits of Rajasuya Yagya and he saves his clan.
