The Magh Snan starts from the full moon of Paush month till the full moon day of Magh. That is, Paush Shukla Purnima is the starting date of Magh Snan. ‘Magh Purnima’ is the last day of Kalpavas in the entire Magh Prayag and taking a trivial bath. Magh Purnima has special significance in religious terms. This is the last symbol of the bathing festival.
The chanting of Mantra is also considered extremely beneficial while offering Arghya to the Sun after bathing in Magh month.

Actually, the date which comes in full form of the moon is called Purnima. This date falls in every month. In this case, the full moon date of Magh month is 27 February 2021, the day falling on Saturday. The full moon date of Magh month is considered to be of special importance in Hinduism. According to mythological beliefs, donating and bathing on this day yields thirty-two times the fruit, hence it is also called Battisi Purnima. The full moon date is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Chandra Dev. This date is considered very auspicious.

Yagya, penance and charity have special significance in this festival. On this day, the worship of Lord Vishnu, the shraddh of ancestors and the donation of beggars is a special fruit. The Nirghans should donate food, clothing, sesame, blanket, jaggery, cotton, ghee, laddu, fruits, grains, paduka etc. The importance of fasting food to Brahmins is only by fasting.
It is believed that by taking a bath in the Ganges on this day, the obstacles of man are cut off. Every morning in the Magh month i.e. Brahm Muhurta, one should worship Lord Madhusudan by bathing with pure water of a holy river, pond, well, stepwell, etc. before sunrise. For the delight of Lord Madhusudan, the whole Magh month should be given daily to the Brahmin by taking food, offering Dakshina, or bathing of Magad laddu, whose eggs are golden or silver, bathed daily. In this month, ancestors should be offered only with black sesame seeds.
Like Makar Sankranti, sesame donation is considered to be of special importance in this month. According to belief, Lord Madhava is pleased with the bathing of the Magh and God gives happiness, good fortune, wealth and children, Swargadi resides in the exalted realms and the deity in the planes. Only the virtuous person receives this grace on Magh Snan by grace.

If you are troubled by money related problems, then on the full moon day of Magha month, take raw milk in a vessel and mix a little sugar and rice in it and recite this mantra to the moon.

: To get wealth, worship Maa Lakshmi on the day of Magha Purnima and place 11 clams at the place of worship and tilak with turmeric on them, after the Puja is over, keep those shells like this. It is believed that Goddess Lakshmi is pleased with this and there is no lack of money in the house throughout her life.
