At the same time, on the last day of this month i.e. March 2021, on Wednesday 31 March i.e. on the Chaturthi date of Krishna Paksha of Chaitra month, Bhalchandra Sankashti Chaturthi is falling. Which will last till the first day of April 2021.

The fasting of Bhalchandra Sankashti Chaturthi is considered very important for Ganesh devotees, as Chaturthi Tithi is the favorite date of Lord Ganesha. It is to be known that Chaturthi falls twice every month – Krishna Paksha (Sankashti Chaturthi) and Shukla Paksha (Vinayaka Chaturthi). According to the Hindi calendar, 13 Sankashti Chaturthi fasts are observed throughout the year.

In this, Sankashti Chaturthi means one who defeats all the crises. On the other hand, like Vinayaka Chaturthi, worship of Lord Shiva’s son Ganesh is also done in Sankashti Chaturthi. On this day, Ganesha fasts to get the blessings of Lord Ganesha. According to the belief, Sankashti Chaturthi fast is one who fulfills wishes, and it is also believed that all the sorrows of a person who fast on this day are over.

According to Pandit Sunil Sharma, during this time all the wishes are fulfilled by reciting Ganesh ji’s Aarti, his mantra and chalisa with full devotion.

Apart from this, by performing this fast, Vighnaharta Ganesh removes all the troubles and obstacles of Lord Jataka. This fast is especially observed by mothers for the advancement of their children.

According to religious beliefs, worshiping Lord Ganesha brings wealth, fame, wealth, intelligence and good health.
