This is how Ganesh can be worshiped on Chaturthi
After bathing on Ganesh Chaturthi, install a statue of Lord Shriganesh made of gold, silver, copper, brass or clay in the temple of the house.
Wear Ganesha with a thread. Offer abir, gulal, sandalwood, vermilion, perfume etc. Offer other worship materials including rice.
Chant Gan Ganpataye Namah. Ganesha should also offer whole green moong, jaggery flowers and jaggery.
To appease Ganesha first, by mixing vermilion in jasmine oil and offering it to Ganapati, special wishes are fulfilled.
