Monday, 15 February is the Chaturthi of the Shukla Paksha of Magh month. It is known as Varad Chaturthi and Tilkund Chaturthi. The secret Navratri of the month of Magh is also going on. And, due to Chaturthi on Monday, this day is becoming very auspicious for Goddess Maa, Shiva and Ganesh worship.
According to Pt. Manish Sharma, Jyotishacharya of Ujjain, a fast is observed for Ganesh on Chaturthi. Chant Ganeshji Mantra
Wake up early in the morning on Chaturthi and offer Arghya to the Sun after bathing. After this, arrange for worship in the house temple or in any other temple. First of all do Ganesh Puja. Offer vermilion, durva, flowers, rice, fruits, janeu, naivedya on the Ganesha idol. Perform aarti by lighting incense and lamps.
Shri Ganeshay nama :, um gan ganapatayai nama: or Vakratunda mahakaya suryakoti samprabha, nirvighnam kurmedev sarvakaryeshu sarvada, chant the mantra.
Worship Lord Shiva and Mother Goddess. Offer water to the Shivling. Offer puja materials like necklaces, clothes, bilva patras, dhatura etc. Offer items of honey like sindoor, bangle, red chunri etc. to the Goddess. Chant Shiva Mantra Om Namah: Shivaay and Devi Mantra Dun Durgay Namam: At least 108 times.
Apply Tilak with Lord Chandan. Offer enjoyment Perform aarti by lighting incense and lamps. After worship, donate grains and fruits to the needy people.
Those who observe fast on Chaturthi should remain foodless on this day, i.e. do not consume food. On this day, fruit can be done. Milk and fruit juices can be consumed. After the worship is complete, distribute the offerings to all the devotees. Apologize to God for the mistakes made in worship.
