Rules to keep this fast?
This fast is kept in two ways Nirjala and Falahari or aqueous fast. It is generally believed that anhydrous fast should be kept by a healthy person. Under this, one should eat satvik food a day before the fast. Take a vow to fast after morning bath. After this, worship Lord Vishnu with Ganga water, Tulsi Dal, Sesame, Phool Panchamrut, provide food to a needy person on the next day of fasting, and observe the fast by giving donations.
This fast is performed without water. If there is no capacity for fasting under special circumstances, then after the donation of daal in the evening time, fruit can be done.

Putrada Ekadashi also holds a special place in Ekadashi dates. This fast holds a great importance for childless couples. This fast is observed for the attainment of children and the desire for child development. 1. The devotees observing the fast of Paush Putrada Ekadashi should take satvik food at a time on the day of Dashami before the fast. The fast should be restrained and celibate.
Like every Ekadashi date, the rules of Paush Putrada Ekadashi fast start from the date of Dashami. Therefore, if you are going to fast on Ekadashi, do not eat after sunset after having another meal on Dashmi Tithi.
2. After taking bath early in the morning, meditate on God by taking a vow. Lord Narayana should be worshiped with Ganga water, Tulsi Dal, Til, Phool Panchamrit.
3. Those observing this fast should remain without water. If you want a fast, you can do foliar in the evening after the donation.
4. On Dwadashi the next day of fast, a fasting should be done by giving food to a needy person or a Brahmin, giving alms and donations.
To wish for children …
The child form of Lord Krishna is also worshiped on this day to wish children. For this, husband and wife should worship Shri Krishna in the morning. Offer them yellow fruits, yellow flowers, Tulsi Dal and Panchamrit. After this, children should chant the Gopal Mantra. After chanting the mantra, the husband and wife jointly receive the offerings. Legend of Paush Putrada Ekadashi
Once upon a time there was the kingdom of a king named Suketu in Bhadravati Nagar. King Suketu and his queen Shaivya had no children. Due to this, both the husband and wife were very unhappy. One day King Suketu made up his mind to go to the forest with his queen Shaivya, and handed over his kingdom to the minister. After reaching the forest, King Suketu thought of committing suicide, but then came to his mind that committing suicide was a greater sin.
Then suddenly the recitation of the Vedas started ringing in the ears of King Suketu and King Suketu and his wife rushed to the sadhus listening to that sound.
