Gita: Eradicating the darkness of ignorance, illuminates the inner with enlightenment …

Geeta Jayanti is celebrated every year on the Ekadashi of Shuklapaksha of Margashirsha month. According to the belief, on the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Margashirsha month, Lord Krishna preached the Gita to the world. Because of this, the date is celebrated as Geeta Jayanti.

According to experts, Sri Krishna preached the Gita to Arjuna in Kurukshetra during Dwapara Yuga about 5000 years ago. On the same day Yogeshwar opened the Gyanchakshu of Arjuna, so this day is celebrated as Geeta Jayanti. In such a situation, this time Mokshadayini Ekadashi i.e. Gita Jayanti will be celebrated on 25 December.

On the day of Mokshada Ekadashi, Lord Shri Krishna preached the salvation of the Bhagavad Gita to dissuade Arjuna. Therefore, on this day Shri Geeta Jayanti is celebrated. This year, Gita Jayanti will be celebrated on 25 December Friday 2020 AD.

This year Mokshada Ekadashi is on Friday, 25 December. Ekadashi which falls on Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Margashirsha month is called Mokshada Ekadashi. Worshiping Lord Vishnu on this day gives a person freedom from greed, attachment, maya etc. He also attains salvation at the end of time.

In the subject of Shrigita Jayanti, astrologer Pandit Sunil Sharma says that Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Margashirsha month in Dwapar Yuga was the auspicious day, when Lord Krishna gave knowledge of Gita to his dear disciple and his brother Arjuna. Since then, this date has been celebrated as Geeta Ekadashi.

The holy land of Kurukshetra, where the knowledge of life in the form of Gita manifested itself through the mouth of Shrihari, is in the present day state of Haryana. Knowledge of Gita was essential for human life in Dwapara Yuga, it is as effective today.

The Gita eradicates the darkness of ignorance and illuminates the inner with enlightenment. The Gita shows the path of liberation from ignorance, sorrow, attachment, anger, deeds, greed etc. The Gita is not just a scripture, but it is a complete life in itself, it has the learning to make effort and duty.

The study of Gita, listening, contemplation brings a sense of superiority in life. But its message is not just the message, but these are the basic mantras that everyone can imbibe in their lives and welfare of humanity. By reciting the Gita on this day or every day one attains the virtue of seeing Lord Vishnu. In such a situation, the soul of a person merges into the form of God after death.
